CAT scan findings...

My sister Melissa just called me. There is good news-- the primary mass of lymphoma located behind her sternum is definitely shrinking after her 2 rounds of chemo. That's an awesome thing!

Something that they are looking into-- the doctor did note that there are other spots on her lung. These spots have actually gotten a little bigger since her last scan. Her last scan was done a couple weeks before actual treatment began, so these spots had time to grow some prior to chemo. The doctor also said that if the spots are lymphoma, then they should be responding the same way that the lymphoma mass is responding. So it is unclear really what these spots even are. They will do a PET scan either tomorrow or Friday and that will hopefully give them more information.

If you could-- please pray the chemo will continue to do its job. Please also pray that they will quickly be able to figure out what the spots on her lung are. I'll post an update as soon as we hear about the PET scan. Thank you!

Melissa... i wanted to share this with you because i thought that it was fitting given the theme by which you live...

And I know there will be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that is what it takes to praise you
Jesus, bring on the rain
